About Garry

Garry is 18 years old and starting playing pipes when he was 12.

He is a student at Stevenson College where he studies classical music. He has a lot of musical talent to offer and a lot of experience.

Garry has a trained voice and sings with the National Youth Choir of Scotland, he teaches guitar and drums, is a pretty decent bass player and plays small pipes and keyboards in the college folk band. He has even played Chad in High School Musical at the Playhouse and has sung in St Peter’s in Rome as part of a Chamber Choir.

Garry is a 6’ 3” youth who does not look like he has fallen off a shortbread tin, more at home in his Jacobean shirt and disinclined to ruin his hair with a daft wee hat, you would choose Garry for your event if you want a contemporary piper who has a little extra to offer and a lot more value per pound.

This little extra comes in handy at wedding events where he has been asked to help ‘fill out’ the hymns and keep the congregation ‘in key’. He can provide background music with his parlour pipes where quieter softer sound is ideal for smaller events, indoors, as the guests mingle or as the register is being signed.

If you want a pianist, vocalist or a string quartet, Garry can help by bringing in some of his very talented student friends.
